Why did I buy 4 cameras in 5 yrs?????

While some people who want to be “photographers” buy the most expensive equipment at the start, I just decide to get my “feet wet” by starting out small.

In December 2003, I purchased a Fujifilm Finepix A210 3.1mp camera.   Consumer Reports rated it very high for a “first time” bargain!   So I went for it!  I am now hooked on Fujifilm Finepix cameras!

After taking over 8800 photos with my little A210, it started to show it’s age.  So in April 2006, I purchased  a Fujifilm Finepix E550 6.1mp.

Again I took thousands of photos.  But now I want to do more with my photography.  I want to sell Prints!  I need another, more advanced camera, for my newer projects!  So…..

April 2007, I purchased my 9.1 megapixel, the Fujifilm Finepix E900.   The quality of the photos are fantastic.  I even have several prints hanging at a local restaurant!

But a girl can never have too many cameras!  (I always carry two with me), so in December 2008, I did it again!  Another camera!  This time I purchased a Fujifilm Finepix F100fd, a 12 megapixel.  Wow, what beauty I can capture!

Compare the photo I have on my photo blog.

Notice the first butterfly and the caterpillar photos. These were taken with my newest camera. The second butterfly on the caster bean leaf was taken with my first camera. The quality and color of the newer ones are so much nicer!

I may have spent $800 in 5 yrs for my equipment, but now I have what I like, and I am not stuck with some expensive piece of equipment that I am not totally happy with.
